Join us for an afternoon workshop featuring The Art Of Chicken Scratch. Chicken scratch embroidery, sometimes referred to as Amish embroidery or gingham lace, is a charming vintage hand embroidery technique. This method utilizes the grid pattern found on gingham fabric to craft intricate lacy designs using basic cross and running stitches. This two hour workshop includes step by step instructions to create your own chicken scratch pattern and the techniques and stitches used to complete a heart design. Once the pattern is complete, you can turn the design into a pin cushion, ornament, mug rug, etc. So many fun gift ideas just in time for the holidays!
Registration is FREE! You are welcome to bring your own supplies from home or purchase a supply kit from us. Kits will be available for pick up on the day of the workshop.
