Polk by Carolyn Friedlander is printed on Robert Kaufman's Essex Yarn-Dyed Homespun. She chose this substrate for the woven grid-like pattern that appears when you weave a light and dark thread together. It is also a multi-faceted fabric that is good for not only quilting but also apparel and home décor.
